Sarvajanik Navratra Utsav? Mandal is one of the oldest Navaratri mandal in kurla west, Mumbai. The mandal was established in the year 1956. The mandal is located in sonapur lane behind sheetal talkies? kurla west in Mumbai suburban.
The beautiful idol of Navadurga is adorned with gold, diamond, silver and precious jewellery which have been offered to the lord Durga by the devotees as a token of their love and affection. The idol of Navdurga has a solid silver hand and is decorated with gold and silver ornaments.

This is our 3rd generation who continuously devoting ourselves in Durga Puja and Navaratri Utsav. During festival we organize rituals (Vidhi) as Hom-Havan & Maha Prasad.

Thousands of devotees rush to Sarvajanik Navaratra Utsav Mandal to offer prayers to Durga. Mandal has devotees from different religions including Christian, Sikh, Muslim etc. Mandal's Durga idol formally known as Gavdevi by local Christian community.

During this computer age, Mandal launched its website www.snumtk.com in 2009. The information related to the festival, the social activities of the Mandal and photo gallery of mandal's Durga idol & other events is available on the website.

Pooja is performed twice everyday and people from all community in the surrounding area visit the mandal in large numbers to pray. Heaps of coconuts and sarees are offered to the Hindu Goddess on a daily basis. Especially during the “Astami” (Eight day of the navratri).

Sarvajanik Navaratra Utsav Mandal (Trust), Kurla is pride. Prestige, inspiration and ideal for Maharashtra’s Public Navaratri Festival. Through this Navaratari festival public interest, Public Service, Religion, spread of philosophy and much similar campaigns are conducted in such public festivals. Through these public festivals we can help the poor which is our main responsibility & is the trust’s presumption. Navaratri Festival is a public festival. Everyone must participate in this festival regardless of his or her caste ?religion.

The Sarvajanik navaratra utsav mandal (trust), Kurla consistently put effort to celebrate this festival following the thought process of the intellectuals and also satisfying the expectations, hopes and aspirations of the common man.
